The Passage

This is supposed to be one of the "big books of this summer!" I won't even go into the premise except to say it is a thriller (I think). After I read a column by Stephen King raving about how great it was I had to put it on my list. I just started it today and not that far into it; but I think it is going to be a good one!!! I have been in a reading slump lately. I can't find anything that holds my attention or that makes me drive home from work just wanting to read it. I think we might have a winner here!

Hi Laura,
I am going to add this one to my list. It looks good. :) I finished The Tale of Halcyon Crane this week and I really liked it. It is a gothic type ghost story. It kept my attention. I have started The Scent of Rain and Lightning and I think it is going to be good too.

Thanks again for recommending the Hunger Games series. I have read both and can't wait for the third to come out in August. I have hooked one of my friends on them too. :)

Hi. I came over from Relyn's blog after I saw your book suggestions you gave her which is appreciated by me also. Have you read 'Fall on your Knees?

You and me both - with the slump. Thank you for the wonderful list of books when I wrote about my slumpishness. It made me happy just to get. Plus, it gave me a great place to start finding my way back to great books. Have you read the newest Sandra Dallas yet? I was just wondering what you thought. I usually love her books and had been eagerly awaiting that one. But, it just didnlt grab me. I'm afraid, though, it was my mood and not the book. Just wondering...

I was just dropping in to wish you and yours the happiest Independence Day. May your day be full! May you enjoy laughter shared with family, great food shared with friends, fireworks to make you gasp, a lump in your throat at the anthem, and a full and grateful heart at all we have been given. Happy Fourth of July, my friend!
